How to Arrive to Izmir?

By Air

İzmir’s main airport is İzmir Adnan Menderes International Airport  (IATA: ADB), which is 18 km (11 miles) south of the city. The distance between the airport and IUE is about 20 km.

How to get to IUE from Airport

By Taxi

You may take a private taxi from the airport to the university. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes and the fare is around € 20.

How to get to City Center from the Airport

For those who would like to stay in the city center, you may take the HAVAŞ airport shuttle bus to Alsancak (city center). Also, bus no. 200 operates between the airport and the city center.

How to get to IUE from the City Center

To get to the campus from the city center, you may either take a taxi (which will cost approximately €15) or local bus (no. 169 & 269)

IUE and The Surroundings

You may find two shopping malls (Tesco Kipa and Agora) and a supermarket which are 10 minute walk from the university.

Places for Accommodation (IUE will provide financial support for accommodation for the papers which are fully funded.)

There are several alternative places for accomodation. See as follows:

1. Kaya İzmir Thermal: 3 to 5 minute walk to venue.
2. Balcova Thermal: 4 to 6 minute drive to venue.
3. Crowne Plaza İzmir: 10 minute drive to venue.
4. Karaca Otel: 20 to 25 minute drive to venue.
5. Kordon Hotel: 20 to 25 minute drive to venue.
6. Kilim Otel: 20 to 25 minute drive to venue.
