BUSINESS SCHOOL OPENING LECTURE
Izmir University of Economics Faculty of Business Administration held its opening lecture for the 2025-2026 academic year with the participation of Prof. Dr. Hakan Kara, former Chief Economist of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey and Faculty Member at Bilkent University.
Our Dean, Prof. Dr. Burcu Güneri Çangarlı, emphasised that the opening lectures serve as a guide and highlighted the importance of understanding the background of current issues.
In his lecture titled ‘Turkey's Inflation Control Programme Under Global Uncertainties,’ Prof. Dr. Kara assessed the past, present, and future of inflation in Turkey.
The lecture saw high attendance, with students also posing questions to Prof. Dr. Kara about topics they were curious about.
