Umut Can Adısönmez Co-Edits Special Issue on Turkish Foreign Policy
Faculty member of the IUE Political Science and International Relations, Dr. Umut Can Adısönmez and Assoc. Prof. Helin Sarı Ertem have completed the special issue “Turkey’s Violent Tango with the West” in the journal Critical Studies on Security with the publication of their Introductory Article.
The special issue draws on key concepts from French psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan, shedding light on the roles of geography, identity, and memory in the making of Turkish foreign policy.
Comprising a total of five articles, the issue stands out as a remarkable contribution that brings together psychological, historical, and cultural dynamics in the study of international relations.
